Jennifer and Jason had one of the most beautiful days of the year for their wedding day. Â They were married in Mellon Park, and their reception was right next door at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (such a cool place!). Â Jen and Jason also opted for a first look, which gave us a lot of time for portraiture. Â Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day:

MUCH more to come very soon!!! Â Stay tuned!
I have been patiently waiting all year for Shira and Eli’s wedding…..and what a momentous event it was!!  These people can PARTY!!!!
And yes, I have to admit that I cried as Shira walked down the aisle. Â I couldn’t help it! Â I’m human!!! (and the bridesmaids called me out on it as well, so I had to fess up.)
Thank you to my über-super friend, Katia and my über-wonderful husband Tristan for their help with this wedding.
We started the day at the Renaissance Hotel, where the bride and groom got ready…

Lovely moms and bridesmaids….

Shira’s mother shared some adorable photos of Shira as a little girl….

Here she is dressed as a bride!

Ilana (Shira’s little sister) helped her get dressed…

Shira’s groom, Eli, is a photography aficionado…..he brought his camera to his own wedding!!

Bow ties are not easy to tie…

Look at this guy! Â heehee!!!

Little sis talking to future brother-in-law before he sees his bride for the first time….

I think Eli is tossing a film canister in the air in this next pic….

Taking a look at his beautiful bride!….

After the first look, we walked over to Heinz Hall….

The towel for the Breaking of the Glass was a Terrible Towel!!

MARRIED!!!!

Shira and Eli picked Somebody to Love by Queen as their recessional!  AND….the string quartet from Symbiotic Collusion KILLED it!!!  WOOHOO!!!!  (Go ahead and click on that link!  I’m in the middle picture with the green scarf on!)

Beautiful purple and silver wedding details! Â Eli designed their logo!

The Andy Warhol Museum is such a unique venue for a wedding reception!

Shira and Eli love cheese SO MUCH, that they decided to have a “cheese cake” instead of a traditional wedding cake!

This “cake” was beautifully assembled! Â I have never seen anything like it! Â Mandi Cheese Shop did a great job! Â Go give them some love on Facebook!

The cheeses that made up this cake are: Humboldt Fog, Iberico, Morbier, and BellaVitano.

Eating their cheese….. my shot:

Kira and Ryan had clear blue skies for their wedding ceremony in the garden at Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts in downtown Pittsburgh. Â They both are clarinetists, so it is perfectly fitting that they are married in the place where they most likely spent hours listening to the Pittsburgh Symphony together!
After the ceremony, Kira and Ryan took a pedi-cab across the Roberto Clemente Bridge to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh for their wedding reception!
It was difficult to narrow it down, but here are a few (see: a LOT) of my favorite moments throughout their day:

Kira used Green Sinner Floral….and what a fantastic choice that was!  They use local, sustainable cut flowers and plants in Pittsburgh!!!  Cool!  And the flowers were beautiful!

Here is Afton, of Pink City Artistry at work: Â (I LOVE Afton!)

It is impossible for Kira to take a bad photo:

Tristan had the chance to hang with Ryan when I was with Kira….

My good friends of the Freya String Quartet were playing the wedding!!!

This next photo is of one of my 2014 brides…..Ashley is getting married next April, and I get to photograph her wedding!!!! Â EEEEEE!!!!!!

Kira and Ryan kissed for a looooong time, so there were many photos captured! haha!

MARRIED!!!!!

My friend Eric of Schiemer Entertainment kept the party going strong!

Erica and Darren were married at Rolling Hills Country Club in a beautiful outdoor ceremony.
The unpredictable Pittsburgh weather was overcast and breezy = perfect conditions for outdoor wedding photos!!

Erica’s shoes were a work of art. Â They deserve a blog post by themselves! Â ha!

Erica found her wedding dress at the Exquisite Bride in Murrysville!

There were three different Ford Mustangs in attendance at Erica and Darren’s wedding. Â This one was her’s…

I received a call from Jesi on a Thursday asking me to shoot her wedding that following Tuesday at Phipps Conservatory. Â It was to be a small, intimate ceremony, with only immediate family present. Â And that’s exactly what it was. Â It was beautiful.
Here are some of my favorite images from their Phipps Conservatory wedding:
.jpg)
To make this ceremony even more memorable, Ralph’s father married them!
.jpg)
Since this wedding happened so suddenly, I walked in not knowing too many details. Â Walking towards the ceremony location I heard this beautiful music, and asked the Phipps events coordinator when they started piping music in all the rooms. Â She said that it was LIVE music! Â And then I saw my friends Misha Istomin and Cindy DeAlmeida playing oboe quartets!! Â How AWESOME!

Jesi and Ralph only had Phipps for a very limited amount of time, so we decided to visit the Desert Room for some portraiture:

Congratulations to you both!!! Â I’m SO excited to have been with you on your wedding day!
Just to see if you are paying attention, I left this for the end of the post…..did you know that I’m now a recommended vendor at Phipps Conservatory?? Â YAY!!!! Â The Phipps Event Staff runs a tight ship and are fantastic to work with! Â If you’re looking for a place to have your wedding in Pittsburgh, I highly recommend that you consider Phipps as an option!
